The biggest problem I have with so-called government health care is that it will create yet another bureaucracy that the government will eventually plunder. Think about it; the budget process for allocating funds for such a bureaucracy in it of itself will be an annual wrestling match between both parties! The medical lobby body will double in numbers creating more expense for consumers. If there is a malpractice claim who do we sue or challenge; the government? The government settles out of court on most everything so this will likely increase fees.
More importantly; look at the Post Office, AMTRAK, Census Bureau, Sally Mae, Freddie Mac, and my recent favorite; TSA (Homeland Security). Do these government organizations operate efficiently? No, and who is to think that the government will get the medical system under control? Pelosi, Kennedy, Feinstein, Frank, Reid, Dodd, and other liberal dems would never subscribe to the insanity they are proposing for themselves or their families but they’ll throw the dwindling United States middle class into the abyss with all the others that have been on the government dole for a lifetime.

Just imagine your Homeowners Association being in charge of your health care? Bureaucratic imbeciles hired based on affirmative action having access to your medical records with the ability to alter these sensitive records at their will…and you have no recourse! The medical “profession” will lose free enterprise talent to hiring quotas.
For those espousing that a government takeover of the medical field in our country will create competition; I say look at the Post Office. Can anyone explain to me why the post office loses money each year but FedEx and UPS do not?
I have been to the communist Soviet Union and Mainland China; communism it is not pretty.
